More than forty winks for Finchley Residents

31st July 2007 Print
A new development in Finchley will offer some of the biggest bedrooms in the country – and this is great news for residents, according to Britain’s leading sleep authority which has published extensive research on the benefits of bigger beds.

Laing Homes has unveiled a series of duplex apartments at its Woodhouse Lodge development on Fenstanton Avenue in North Finchley and its enormous bedrooms are a key feature of the properties.

The duplexes have been specially designed to create a huge bedroom, which will take over the entire second floor of each property. This bedroom will measure 17’7sqft in length, enabling couples to install larger beds and benefit from a more comfortable sleeping experience.

Jessica Alexander, of the Sleep Council, said: “Our research suggests that the average person tosses and turns up to 70 times a night, and, with one in five Britons now obese, it is high time we started investing in larger beds to provide more room and less disruption.

“Bigger bedrooms allow for more spacious beds, which can only be good news”.

Tony Woodman, sales director for Laing Homes North Thames, said: “Finchley is one of the busiest areas in London – residents in this area have a ‘work hard, play hard’ attitude, and need to unwind at the end of the day.

“That’s why we’re building these super size bedrooms – to offer couples the chance to stretch out in their bedroom and sleep in space and comfort. The Sleep Council’s approval confirms our objectives when developing Woodhouse Lodge.”
