Savills reach the summit for The Royal Hospital Chelsea

Three Peaks - done it The weekend of 10th August proved to be demanding for members of the Savills Sloane Street, Knightsbridge and Prime Purchase offices. Considered one of the most challenging team events, they participated in The Three Peaks Challenge, which requires teams to climb Mount Snowdon, Scafel Pike and Ben Nevis within 24 hours in aid of charity.

With little sleep, the event saw the Savills team strive through wind and rain while the rest of the country was basking in sunshine, ascend a total of 9,700 ft, walk 22 miles and travel over 400 miles by bus.

Christian Warman, Associate Director, Sloane Street comments: “This is an absolutely fantastic event, testing at times but great fun. It proved to be an excellent team building exercise and the highlight for us was all our team making it to the top of Ben Nevis by 7am on a Sunday morning, having started before 4am in the dark and pouring rain.”

Their hard work has raised £ 4,500 in aid of The Chelsea Pensioners’ Appeal, which is currently raising funds to build and equip a new care home for the pensioners and to improve the remainder of their living accommodation. Christian Warman continues: “This was a great opportunity for us to raise money for such a worthy cause, ultimately benefiting retried soldiers who have given so much to our nation over the years.”
