End of an era at Chelsea Bridge Wharf

30th August 2007 Print
Purchasers wishing to be part of the thriving community at Berkeley Homes (Central London) Ltd’s Chelsea Bridge Wharf development have only a handful of chances to purchase an apartment at Lanson, the final phase of the development.

Just one studio apartment and 13 one-bedroom apartments remain for sale at the development.

Berkeley Homes began transforming the former manufacturing site, located on Queenstown Road on the banks of the River Thames, in 2001. Six years on, Chelsea Bridge Wharf has evolved in to a desirable destination with around 1,000 occupants already inhabiting the site. Chelsea Bridge Wharf’s community credentials will be further enhanced over the next couple of years, with Wandsworth’s first four-star hotel being built on the site.

The Pestana Group hotel will feature a bar and a restaurant, allowing residents to socialise in a quality setting, and bring a vibrant ambience to the vicinity. By the end of 2008, the Chelsea Bridge Wharf community will be complemented by 60,000 sq ft of office space.

All of the apartments at Lanson feature a chic, state-of-the-art specification, created with feedback from existing Chelsea Bridge Wharf residents. This means the apartments have evolved with trends, giving buyers at Lanson the quality and fittings they truly value. The communal areas, private living spaces and specification at Lanson have also been designed to give a hotel-like feel. This clever merging of boundaries aims to create truly integrated community in which people can live, work and enjoy their leisure time

The master bedrooms at Lanson feature dimmable lighting that allows residents to set the ambience depending on their mood. The larger apartments also offer en-suite bathrooms, while all the apartments boast a spacious living/dining room opening on to an external balcony.

Attention to detail is key at Lanson, with walnut veneer doors with a horizontal grain throughout the apartments. Kitchens include integrated Kuppersbusch appliances, with granite and composite stone worktops and upstands to the two and three-bedroom apartments. The bathrooms have been designed to create a haven of tranquillity, with natural materials including feature bamboo marble tiles.

Designed by award winning architectural practice Scott Brownrigg and featuring landscape design by EDCO, Lanson offers impressive contemporary architecture designed to reflect the very best of 21st century London.

The 12-storey scheme blends glass, render and panelled facades to create a magnificent curved front elevation, which is the epitome of elegance. Other design features include floor-to-ceiling windows, glass-fronted balconies and a winged roof.

CCTV-monitored underground parking with direct lift access to all floors and a 24-hour concierge also feature at Chelsea Bridge Wharf.

Queenstown Road, Battersea Park and Victoria train stations are easily accessible by foot from Chelsea Bridge Wharf, while Sloane Square underground station for the District and Circle lines is also located within a mile of the development. Direct bus services also run from outside the development to Oxford Street and Victoria.

Prices at Lanson start from £422,500.
