Walthamstow development wins top property award
A new Barratt development in Walthamstow has won a top property industry award for offering outstanding value-for-money. Forest Place - recently completed on a well-known site off Fulbourne Road, Walthamstow – took the Platinum Award in the value-for-money category of this week’s Hot Property Awards, run by one of the UK’s leading property listing magazines.Barratt’s stylish, contemporary project offered 184 new homes at prices from under £165,000, making them particularly attractive to local first-time buyers. Not surprisingly, Forest Place sold out entirely ahead of the construction programme.
Barratt East London sales director Gary Patrick said: “From the outset, the whole point of Forest Place was to bring stylish, affordable living to an established residential area of London where it is becoming increasingly difficult for first-time buyers to get a foot on the ladder.
“We designed Forest Place with local first-timers in mind, and backed that design with our unrivalled package of help for purchasers. We are absolutely delighted to be recognised in this way by a Hot Property Award.”
Forest Place is built on land previously occupied by the old Hawker Siddeley Power Transformers factory in Fulbourne Road, Walthamstow, and comprises a range of studio, one and two-bedroom apartments There is a gym for the exclusive use of residents and a concierge to help with their day-to-day needs.
The new homes are arranged in attractive modern buildings rising to a maximum of four storeys, all within landscaped ground and accessed through an impressive entryway. A brand new school and playing fields are scheduled to go alongside the new development.
