A fast-track for first time buyers

Townends New Homes are working with A Plus New Homes to promote their new Fastrack scheme, designed to help buyers by reducing the upfront costs of buying a home by up to 25%. Purchasers will still own their own home but they will only have to pay for 75% of the price upfront. They will then have 10 years in which to repay the remaining 25% equity, although they can buy this remaining share at any time during this period.

If the property is sold during this time, 75% of the open market value of the property, determined by an independent valuer, will remain with the new owner.

June Morgan, Client Manager at Townends New Homes comments, "This is a huge benefit for those wanting to own their own home but possibly not being able to afford the full amount from the outset. The scheme allows for lower mortgage payments as only 75% is funded initially and there are no further rental payments, making it more affordable than similar packages currently in the market place."

A Plus New Homes will simply place a second charge on the property alongside the mortgage provider. Prices at The Maples start from £199,950 but this scheme means that the initial cost would be just £150,000, exactly what is needed to help buyers at the moment."

The Maples, Surbiton Crescent, Kingston Upon Thames, comprise 14 apartments. The 6 remaining units benefit from quality fully fitted kitchens with integrated oven, hob and stainless steel extractor hood, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer, fitted wardrobes to the master bedroom and contemporary white bathroom suites. Externally there are landscaped communal gardens and a cycle store. Some apartments also have a balcony.
