A stunning new landmark for London

27th June 2008 Print
A stunning new landmark for London St George, London’s leading mixed-use developer is launching a new landmark Tower at Battersea Reach in May 2008. The impressive Tower will stand at 17 storeys and provide 40 highly specified two and three bedroom apartments and one magnificent penthouse. Each apartment will benefit from a private balcony or terrace providing stunning panoramic views of the River Thames from Putney through to Chelsea Harbour.

St George previously developed the award winning Putney Wharf Tower, which is now an easily recognisable landmark, and is confident this new Tower will be another attractive landmark in this special location.

Strong demand is anticipated, with purchasers keen to claim their part of this Riverside destination on the Southbank. With a 300 metre riverside walkway, award winning landscaping, Young’s ‘Waterfront’ bar and restaurant, a French patisserie and coffee shop run by celebrity chef Eric Lanlard and a Hudson’s convenience store, the development is already a popular destination.

The Tower will have a private dedicated reception entrance with a concierge service. The apartments have custom designed kitchens with granite surfaces and the very latest stainless steel appliances including a chilled filtered water tap, wine cooler and coffee machine. Bathrooms and en suites have Villeroy and Boch sanitary ware, feature marble walls and stone flooring together with stylish back painted specialist glass over the bath. The apartments feature comfort cooling to the bedrooms and open plan kitchen and living rooms, with under-floor heating to the bathroom and en suite, providing a controlled and relaxing atmosphere.

Mark Griffiths, Managing Director of St George South London commented:

“Given the fantastic location and popularity of Battersea Reach we are excited to be launching this new and special phase to the market. Adjacent to Wandsworth Bridge, the Tower will act as a new local landmark. We have raised the level of specification and I am confident that the quality of choice and stunning views that the Tower provides will meet the aspirations of even our most discerning of clients”.

Battersea Reach is set within close proximity to some of London’s most fashionable areas such as Chelsea, Fulham and Battersea. The King’s Road and Sloane Street are just a short journey across Wandsworth Bridge and offer many designer boutiques. The old York Road and Battersea Village are also close by with a wide selection of shops, bistros and restaurants.

Residents are provided with numerous transport options. These include trains from nearby Wandsworth Town railway station which is an easy 12 minute journey to Waterloo providing connections to mainline train services to the south and to the underground, which is a short journey from international connections to Europe via Eurostar from Kings Cross St Pancras. The A3 and M25 are also close by with easy proximity to Heathrow and Gatwick. A managed underground car park is located within the development.

There are a limited number of one and two bedroom apartments available in the current release of Ensign House with prices starting from £384,950. Two stunning penthouses are also now available and are scheduled to be complete from summer 2008. St George strongly recommend interested customers to contact the Battersea Reach marketing suite open Monday to Friday 10am to 8pm and from Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm to arrange a private viewing.
