Barratt to host golf day at exclusive Watford development Calling all golfers and would-be golfers. Barratt North London is hosting a special ‘golf day' at its exclusive Willow Grange development in Church Road, Watford on Saturday 5th July from 11am to 4pm. Golf professional Luke Miller, who teaches at The Grove, the highly acclaimed leisure hotel in Chandler's Cross, less than two miles from Willow Grange, will be on hand to help visitors perfect their chipping and putting technique.

The event marks the completion of the main entrance to the development, and the beautifully landscaped area at the front which will remain open for the general public to enjoy.

Luke started to play golf at the age of four and went on to represent his county. At the age of 18 he was awarded a golf scholarship and moved to Florida where, in four years, he won the National Minority Championship twice. He turned professional at the age of 23 and joined The Grove last autumn.

Glyn Hopping, managing director of Barratt North London, says: "I would like to thank staff at The Grove for kindly supporting our event at Willow Grange. I hope many, from children through to adults, amateurs through to experienced golfers, will make the most of Luke's expertise; the day will be both informative and fun."

Visitors can improve their golfing skills and enter a special competition organised by Luke; the winner will be awarded two rounds of 18-hole golf at The Grove. Barratt will also be running a free-prize draw on the day, with the first prize a £500 gift voucher that can be used on the superb golf course, in the luxurious spa or restaurants at The Grove. For those who don't win a prize, there will be vouchers that can be redeemed on various excellent facilities at the hotel.

Willow Grange is a gated scheme, located in a tranquil and leafy area north of Watford town centre. A substantial Victorian building, which was extended in 1991, is being converted and this, along with a variety of newly-built homes, will bring the total number of properties available at Willow Grange to 174.

The development has a beautiful setting amidst 4.8 acres of mature parkland grounds and many of the apartments overlook a large rectangular pond.

Homes available include one and two-bedroom apartments and just three four-bedroom houses. The newly-built homes will be ready to move in to in September.

A newly-opened showhome is located in the converted buildings, where a number of apartments will be ready for occupation in December. The apartments will have an entry phone system and the converted apartments will have lift facilities. All homes will have private allocated parking.

The location of Willow Grange is ideal, only a mile from the centre of Watford and offering easy access to the M1 and M25. Watford Junction railway station lies approximately half a mile to the south of the development and provides direct access to London Euston with a journey time of around 20 minutes. Watford Underground station, around a mile away, is located on the Metropolitan Line. There are also direct bus links to Heathrow Airport.

Prices for newly-built one-bedroom apartments start from £202,500, two-bedroom apartments from £262,500 and four-bedroom houses from £470,000. The Sales & Marketing Suite at Willow Grange is open Thursday to Sunday 10am to 6pm, and Mondays 2pm to 6pm. Information on all Barratt developments is available on Barratthomes.co.uk.
