Barratt presents cheque to Watford New Hope Trust Staff at Barratt North London's office in Watford recently presented a cheque for £3,085.86 to the Watford New Hope Trust. The Trust's mission is to help the homeless and vulnerable in the local community by providing shelter, food and opportunities to rebuild damaged lives.

Staff at Barratt adopted the charity last year and their sponsored fund-raising activities have included abseiling down the Harlequin Centre; the Big Herts Walk; dress down Fridays at the office; surveyor Mark Smith dressed up as Popeye for the day and managing director Glyn Hopping rode a ‘bucking bronco'. Other initiatives included a penny trail around the offices and a charity calendar.

Glyn Hopping says: "Staff saw the link between us as housebuilders and The Watford New Hope Trust as a charity for the homeless and seized the opportunity to help the local community. I would like to congratulate everyone who contributed to this worthwhile charity, well done."

Lucie Maldoom of the Watford New Hope Trust says: "We were delighted to receive this wonderful cheque from staff at Barratt North London; thank you, the money will be put to very good use."
