Investment bargains in Walthamstow

Investment bargains in Walthamstow Despite the economic environment, some properties still have very good long-term investment potential. Walthamstow is just 23 minutes* from Stratford, the hub of the London Olympics, and the newly reduced property prices in the area make it a highly desirable area to look for an excellent investment bargain.

Wallyd Benchikh, originally from Paris, decided that this current climate was the ideal time to buy at Higgins Homes’ development Uber, which is situated in the centre of this up-and-coming area.

Wallyd, a 30 year old corporate lawyer, comments: “I have always enjoyed the multi-cultural community and vibrant energy which Walthamstow offers. The street market brings people of all nationalities together, and I’ve always felt very comfortable in the area when I have visited. When I heard about Higgins Homes’ development, Uber, I was very excited to see what it would look like, and it didn’t disappoint. I really liked the contemporary open-plan layout of the flats, and the fact that nearly every property has outside space is a real luxury in London.

“With the current regeneration programmes and fantastic commuter links, Walthamstow is an ideal place for me to live, but its proximity to the Olympic stadiums, also makes it a great place to invest in. I’m extremely happy with my choice to buy at Uber, because not only did I buy a stunning home, I paid an extremely reasonable price for it and I’m satisfied that my money will be secure in the years to come.”

Uber comprises 100 one and two bedroom apartments on Erskine Road, E17. The building has a cascading and ascending flat roof, sculpted with aluminium panels to give a dramatic profile. The development incorporates a secret garden, so residents can read a book and enjoy the sunshine without being overlooked.

Most apartments have glass panelled balconies providing buyers with outside space and there is also a video entry system in each property. Internally each apartment has a designer Urban Myth kitchen which comes fitted with Smeg appliances including a stainless steel electric oven, gas hob, integrated fridge/freezer and washer/dryer.

Walthamstow provides residents with a wealth of amenities ranging from boutique shops, to market stalls to designer clothes shops in The Mall, Selborne Walk. The thriving street market is open Tuesday to Saturday, and provides residents with a wealth of fresh produce and everyday goods. Walthamstow Central station has regular direct overland trains to London Liverpool Street, which take approximately 16 minutes**. Walthamstow Central also has access to the Victoria line underground trains which take approximately 23 minutes to Oxford Circus**.

Prices for a superb one bedroom apartment start at just £185,000 and at £239,950 for a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with balcony – less 5% assisted deposit and fitted flooring for selected apartments. The marketing suite is open from Thursday to Monday (closed Tuesday and Wednesday), between 10am and 5pm.
