New home for successful auctioneer

Divisional Managing Director of Barnard Marcus Auctions, Chris Glenn commented: " We remained extremely busy throughout 2008. Not only did we increase the volume of lots offered compared to 2007 by a staggering 50%, but sales success rates rose significantly far outstripping those of other auctioneers. In fact, last year the number of lots sold by Barnard Marcus Auctions rose by 49% to 2040 lots."
Having traded from their offices at Glenthorne Road, Hammersmith for over 20 years, the department has completed a move to The Glassmills on King Street, Hammersmith. "The premises are larger and more suitable for creating new employment opportunities and continuing the growth of the department as well as enhancing the services we provide to both buyers and sellers", says Chris Glenn.
This year, Barnard Marcus Auctions will be holding 12 sales at The New Connaught Rooms, Great Queen Street, London, a venue the department moved to in August of last year following the announcement of the closure of The Café Royal.
"I am sure 2009 will produce many challenges. As a Group, we pride ourselves upon delivering innovative and economic solutions to such challenges faced by our clients. We will continue to do this throughout 2009, delivering a robust and professional service regardless of market conditions and other challenges", says Chris Glenn.
The first sale of 2009 will take place on 26th January starting at 11am, where some 177 lots will be on offer. A catalogue is available to view on line at Barnardmarcus.co.uk, along with other information for prospective buyers and sellers.
