Will you still be a tenant this time next year?

Will you still be a tenant this time next year? First-time buyers are being given a great opportunity to make 2009 the year they stop spending money on rent and invest in a brand new home of their own. By choosing an apartment at The Venue, George Wimpey’s sought-after development in Muswell Hill, customers can receive help in finding their feet in the property market, in addition to assistance with their deposit and legal fees.

Tony Woodman, George Wimpey’s Regional Sales and Marketing Director, says: “Unlike many first-time purchases from the second-hand property market, we can offer a flexible range of incentives to help our customers, and guide them through the purchase of their new home.

“With lower property prices and mortgage rates, owning a home is far better than spending thousands of pounds in rent during 2009 and having nothing to show for it this time next year.”

First-time buyers can currently choose two-bedroom ‘Ash’ and ‘Willow’ apartments at The Venue priced from £222,500.

The ‘Ash’ is an ideal choice for those seeking a fresh and stylish first home, and features an open-plan kitchen with plenty of space for dining, a light and airy lounge, and an en-suite to the main bedroom in addition to a full-size bathroom.

All new homes at The Venue – which also includes three-bedroom townhouses from £349,950 – benefit from a high standard specification including gas central heating, double glazing, built-in oven, hob and hood.

George Wimpey’s Easymover programme provides a range of special incentives to help first-time buyers and to enable existing homeowners to reserve their new home and then sit back and relax while the developer helps to find a buyer for their old property – guaranteeing 100% of the market value – and pays the estate agents’ fees.

All incentives are subject to status, terms and conditions, with details available from the Sales Executive.

Muswell Hill has a vibrant London ‘village’ feel and is a popular location for people of all ages, with colourful cafes, bars and boutiques, art and bookshops, food halls and delis, and with a cinema close by.

Offering magnificent views over London and countless leisure opportunities, nearby Alexandra Palace also has an ice-skating rink, regular concerts and outdoor pursuits. Park Farm has swimming pools for all abilities, a gym, spa facilities, fitness classes and even an open-air lido, while Muswell Hill Golf Course is a few minutes’ walk away.

Central London can also be reached easily, on the Northern Line from Highgate Underground or via the Piccadilly line from Bounds Green.

The Venue Sales Centre and showhome is located off Coppetts Road, Muswell Hill, and open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5.30pm and Mondays 10am until 2pm.
