Final six on sale at London hot spot

Sales have been notched up at the rate of over two per week, running rapidly ahead of a second phase planned for later this spring.
Since launching Maple Quays last October sales have been consistently strong, with no need to follow the London-wide property trend of price reductions and discounts to cope with the downturn.
In fact, Maple Quays has been so successful that prices have actually risen around two per cent.
Barratt London managing director Alastair Baird said: “Rotherhithe is absolutely buzzing and there is clearly an appetite for home-ownership in a place which combines terrific value with terrific location.
“We now have planning consent for the second phase of Maple Quays and will be launching that as soon as we can to keep up with demand.”
Maple Quays is the start of one of London’s largest regeneration schemes, a vibrant canalside community which will eventually comprise some 2000 homes around the Canada Water basin, in the heart of the Rotherhithe peninsula, Southwark.
As well as new homes, the Canada Water regeneration will also include a range of new town centre amenities, including a library, civic plaza, leisure amenities, shops and children’s play space.
On the first phase of Maple Quays, Barratt is building the first 42 apartments for sale. Now just six one-bedroom apartments remain available at prices from £232,000 to £255,000.
All apartments at Maple Quays offer fully-fitted designer kitchens, complete with integrated appliances, plus family and (where appropriate) en suite bathrooms. Most apartments have balconies from which to enjoy the views. Lifts will serve all floors through stylish common areas and there will be some private parking for residents.
The development is also maximising the benefits of the old docks and new canals that make Rotherhithe a delightful living environment. The Rotherhithe peninsula is one of London’s best-kept secrets – quiet, leafy and rich in wildlife.
As well as being convenient for Canary Wharf – which is one stop away in the Jubilee Line - the City and nearby City Airport, directly opposite on the north side of the Thames, this part of Docklands has excellent rail communications with the City and central London. Maple Quays is actually right next to Canada Water tube station and Borough Market is just one stop away at London Bridge.
A stunning marketing suite is open alongside Canada Water station, complete with a fully-furnished show apartment.
