Piece of mind for buyers in London

Barratt is paying the first year’s premium to insure buyers against being unable to make their mortgage payments through no fault of their own.
“It’s great to have a little extra peace of mind when you’re moving into a new home,” said Gary Patrick, Operations Director for Barratt East London.
“Whether it’s illness, injury, redundancy or something else unexpected, this policy will ensure that monthly mortgage repayments are covered in full for up to three years. It’s a welcome element of reassurance in these uncertain times.”
The free insurance applies to standard protection policies taken out by homebuyers as a requirement of their mortgage offer. Customers will have no monthly premiums to pay for the first year and the cover – should it be needed – will meet the whole of each month’s mortgage repayments for up to three years. Buyers may still be eligible for other assistance packages from Barratt.
Parkside – centered round a 23-storey curved glass tower in London SW18 – is already selling well, with less than 50 apartments remaining available.
On a prime site alongside King George’s Park, on the edge of Wandsworth town centre and adjacent to the Southside shopping mall, most apartments feature floor-to-ceiling glazing and spacious balconies.
All homes at Parkside have two bedrooms, two bathrooms and luxury specifications, plus fully-fitted designer kitchens and fully-fitted family and en suite bathrooms. Lifts serve all floors through stylish common areas and there is a daytime concierge service.
A sales office and show apartments are open at Parkside. The current phase of apartments available with gas, electricity and water paid, are on sale from £324,995.
