Laid-back living in Ruislip

20th May 2009 Print
Laid-back living in Ruislip Ruislip’s longest established estate agency, Gibbs Gillespie, has opened a special Sales Information Centre to highlight the benefits of choosing a brand new home at George Wimpey’s Sandringham development.

Based next door to its offices in Ruislip High Street, the Centre provides information on the collection of two, three and four-bedroom ‘Arts and Crafts’ homes just released for sale.

Steve Nuttall, partner at Gibbs Gillespie, says: “Interest in Sandringham is coming from a good mix of local people and from those currently living in the wider London area.

“They’re well-built, good-looking homes with plenty of character and a good finish – plus the choice of one and two-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom coach houses, and three, four bedroom homes means there is something to appeal to all types of buyer.

“We have already taken five reservations in the past two weeks – more than our expectations given that people are purchasing the homes before they’re even built.

“Property market activity has increased over the past few weeks, reflecting a rising confidence among buyers. If people have a deposit then they can access some very good mortgage deals at the moment.

“And in terms of selling their existing home to upgrade or gain more space, movers are now finding their current homes will sell easily if they put them on the market at the right price.”

George Wimpey offers a range of special incentives for buyers of selected homes at Sandringham, including paying customers’ stamp duty, estate agency fees and arranging free removals.

Financial incentives are also available for first-time buyers, including the Government’s HomeBuy Direct scheme which enables qualifying customers to purchase a home for just 70% of the listed price.

Incentives can be tailored to homebuyers’ circumstances and are subject to availability.

Prices at Sandringham start at just £204,995 for a stylish apartment, two-bedroom coach houses are priced from £264,995, three-bedroom homes from £399,995, and four-bedroom designs start at £404,995.

The first phase of the Sandringham development will comprise 113 homes including contemporary apartments, a wide range of spacious family homes and exclusive Live/Work units for those who wish to run their business from home. Future phases will feature substantial detached houses with gated entrances and sumptuous crescent townhouses for versatile living.

Each property will be finished to a high standard specification, including gas central heating, double glazing and a fitted kitchen with built-in oven, hob and stainless steel hood and appliances, and downlighters and ceramic floor tiles to add a contemporary feel to kitchens and bathrooms.

Sandringham lies within 19 acres of landscaped grounds between Ruislip and Eastcote High Street, with a new community hall and public open spaces included in the development design.

The superb array of local shopping facilities include a Marks & Spencer and a Waitrose, while a wider choice of outlets can be found nearby at The Chimes Shopping Centre in Uxbridge.

Pubs, restaurants and bars are also within walking distance of the development, the well-equipped High Grove Gym is just around the corner, and the tranquil parkland of Ruislip Common, Park Wood and Ruislip Lido are also within easy reach.

Commuters choosing to enjoy Sandringham’s laid-back lifestyle are well catered for, with the M40 and M25 a 15-minute drive away and direct local bus services to Pinner, Northwood and Ruislip. The development is also equidistant from East Ruislip, Eastcote and Ruislip Manor stations on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, and, only a little further on foot or by road, South Ruislip and West Ruislip stations on the Central Line.

The new Sale Information Centre at Gibbs Gillespie in Ruislip High Street is open 9am to 7pm Mondays to Thursdays, 9am to 6pm Fridays, 9am to 5pm Saturdays and 10am to 1pm on Sundays and bank holidays.

Home-buyers can also visit George Wimpey’s Visitor Centre in High Road, Eastcote and the Sales Information Centre and showhomes off Lime Grove, Eastcote. The Visitor Centre and Sales Information Centre are open 10.30am to 5.30pm seven days a week.
