Couple home in on first wedding anniversary

Many married couples traditionally celebrate their first wedding anniversary with gifts associated with paper – but not Amy and Michael Bates.

For exactly 12 months after tying the knot at Claypole in Lincolnshire, and honeymooning in Mexico, the couple moved into their new Miller Home at The Vales, in Bingham.

Amy (26), a nursery nurse at a private day care nursery, and Michael (32), a purchasing and production control manager, are the first to move into the new development, which is superbly located on the edge of the lively market town.

As well as the high standards of finish at their detached Kitchener home, with its three bedrooms, lounge and kitchen diner, it was the location that really attracted Amy and Michael.

Amy commented: “We looked at The Vales as it was close to the A52 and A46, which is ideal for us both to get to our places of work. Bingham’s also a nice place to be, in the countryside but not that far from anywhere thanks to the road network.

“We previously lived in a maisonette and really needed somewhere with more space. The house itself is well presented and in a really great plot and the Miller Homes staff at the development have been absolutely brilliant and really, really helpful.”
