New team brings fresh ideas to Ashtree Park

The latest addition to the Miller Homes Yorkshire portfolio is enjoying a new team at its helm. Ashtree Park is proving to be a popular development with house-hunters in the Sutton-in-Ashfield area and its all thanks to the new team of people behind the scenes.

Ross Clarkson, field sales manager said: “I have worked for Miller for 3 years now although this is the first time I have opened a brand new development. We have Jo at the helm in the sales centre who is actually new to Miller and comes from a very customer service led managerial role in the retail sector. We also have James Stambra as our assistant site manager who only joined Miller Homes six months ago on the renowned graduate trainee scheme.

“I think our new team, along with our highly experienced site manager Alex, has brought with it some fresh and exciting ideas that are working really well in-conjunction with Miller’s existing strategies to provide good, quality housing at affordable prices.”

Jo Isherwood, joined Miller just 4 months ago after a recommendation from her mother-in-law who has worked for Miller Homes since its takeover of Fairclough Homes. Jo said: “I really enjoy being customer focused and after 18 years in the retail trade felt that instead of being reactive to customers wants I really wanted to focus on their needs. I have always been interested when my mother-in-law talked about her job and was so excited when this opportunity came up.

“Now I’m able to get to know my customers and help them over a length of time from when they first come through the door to them moving into their new house!”

James Stambra, assistant site manager at Ashtree Park is another new employee at Miller Homes and has brought with him a degree in Construction Management from Sheffield Hallam University. James said: “After leaving university I knew I wanted to work for a reputable company that invests in its employees. That’s why I applied for the Miller graduate trainee scheme. The whole process teaches you different aspects of the business from technical to land.

“I am really enjoying being on site and I’m learning so much from the team here who are helping me put my knowledge of theory into practice.”
