Home is where the ‘art' is at Mill Hill, Bingham

Redrow Homes has created the ultimate bespoke view home in Bingham, with a little help from leading interior designers Bo & Jangles and a host of local artists.

To help customers paint a picture of the endless possibilities unique design and decoration could bring to their own new home, Redrow enlisted the aid of over 40 skilled artists from sculptures to painters.

And what better blank canvas to splash than the chic three-bedoom ‘Farnell'style view home that's opening this weekend (Saturday, July 12) at the Mill Hill venture, off Mallow Way.

Catherine Cloke, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (Midlands), says: "The most important thing for Redrow is to show our properties at their very best and make them stand out from the competition. By working with local artists to create a very unique home we have done just that and hopefully given people an extra reason to visit - and to tell their friends all about us.

"Our customers not only get to see how our finished product will look, with flooring, light fittings and window dressings included; they also get a chance to see how they could use original art in their own home to make it special."

The three-bedroom Farnell home has been tastefully kitted out with a range of original pieces from bottles and vases to sculptures and paintings, as well as locally crafted items of furniture.

Christine Williams, creative director of Bo & Jangles, commented: "This is a fantastic collaboration and a novel way to introduce the work of local artists to a wider audience of potential customers.

"Redrow are known for building exciting and original homes and we have provided individual art, so we have a perfect match.

"Working with Redrow to make the art work in keeping with the home was a great experience. Their staff have been extremely positive and helpful and the artists have given generously of their work and time.

"We hope the exhibition will help Redrow customers appreciate the beauty individually designed art could bring to their own new home, as an alternative to the mass-market items available on the high street."

Whatever their views on art, Mill Hill certainly has something for everyone, with a range of impressive one, two, three, four and five-bedroom homes currently available from just £114,050 to £374,950.

There's already a professionally designed and decorated fully furnished five-bedroom detached ‘Rickford' show home open daily, which has been hugely successful in promoting this scheme to potential home owners. It's been dressed as a classic, warm and inviting family home and even includes a pink and lavender bedroom inspired by the designs of a nine-year-old schoolgirl.

Beautifully situated in the bustling market town of Bingham, and set in the breathtaking scenery of Nottinghamshire, yet within easy reach of Nottingham city centre, Mill Hill offers the perfect blend of town and country.
