The wonder of Wollaton

24th April 2009 Print
The wonder of Wollaton It’s been known as one of Nottingham’s most desirable suburbs for generations – and now comes more proof of Wollaton’s 21st century popularity. Visitors to Crest Nicholson’s exclusive Wollaton Place development have snapped up 19 properties, leaving just five remaining.

And the combination of low interest rates, warmer weather and a string of upcoming Bank Holidays means competition for the available plots could soon heat up even further.

Said Amanda Benjamin, Sales Manager for Crest Nicholson (Midlands): “The old adage that ‘location is all’ certainly seems to be true as far as Wollaton Place is concerned.

“We’ve had huge interest in this development from Day One, thanks to where it is situated, the quality of the homes on offer, and the great value they represent.”

A range of incentives has also proved attractive to buyers.

These include a part exchange deal on their existing homes, with prices starting at £164,950.

The development is also subject to the company’s Easybuy scheme, which lets customers pay just 75% of the house-price, with the remainder covered by an interest free loan for the first five years and a nominal amount thereafter.

The only requirement is that the amount is paid back, based on the property's open market value, within 10 years of the original completion date, or if the homeowner sells the property – whichever is sooner.

The development – a collection of three and four-bedroom houses - lies on Trowell Road, in the village of Wollaton.

Although within easy reach of Nottingham City Centre, the suburb has an identity of its own, with excellent local shopping, traditional public houses nearby sports facilities, including a golf course and local cricket club.
