A direct route to a new home in Long Eaton

The Homebuy Direct initiative is now available on a select number of high-specification properties at Little Heron Mews, an exclusive development situated off Wilsthorpe Road, on the outskirts of the town.
The initiative has been carefully structured to help first time buyers and those in need of affordable housing to move into their own new build property by enabling them to take an equity loan of up to 30 per cent of the purchase price, which will be co-funded by Miller Homes and the Government.
Qualifying households with a combined income of less than £60,000 will then only need to find a mortgage to cover 70 per cent of the purchase price, but can still own 100 per cent of the property – with one of the big bonuses of the scheme being that the equity loan, on which there is no interest to pay for the first five years, is only repayable after 25 years, or when the customer sells their home, whichever comes first.
Joy Goodman, sales director at Miller Homes East Midlands, which this year celebrates its 75th anniversary in housebuilding, commented: “Homebuy Direct will provide a great confidence boost for first time buyers, key workers and those people that up until now have not believed that it was possible for them to buy.
“New homes haven’t been this affordable for years, property is still one of the most secure long term investments that you can make and through Homebuy Direct, many will find that they are able to get a lot more for their money than they initially thought.”
Nestled on the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire border, Little Heron Mews is the first development Miller Homes has launched in the historic town of Long Eaton and is ideally placed for those wishing to enjoy the subtleties of suburban life, whilst still being within easy reach of both Nottingham and Derby’s bustling city centres.
Whilst being close to much of the region’s rich parkland and countryside, one of the most attractive draws to the area is the close vicinity it has to the award-winning Attenborough Nature Reserve and to Sawley Marina, which houses a superb array of leisure facilities for young and old alike.
Properties available through Homebuy Direct (HBD) include the three-bedroomed Hawthorn townhouse from £100,765 with HBD, and the spacious open-plan two-bedroomed Edgworth apartment priced from £73,465 with HBD.
