A direct route to a new home in Long Eaton

Prospective home buyers in Long Eaton are being offered an affordable way to get on the property ladder thanks to a Government-backed scheme currently being provided by multi-award winning housebuilder, Miller Homes East Midlands.

The Homebuy Direct initiative is now available on a select number of high-specification properties at Little Heron Mews, an exclusive development situated off Wilsthorpe Road, on the outskirts of the town.

The initiative has been carefully structured to help first time buyers and those in need of affordable housing to move into their own new build property by enabling them to take an equity loan of up to 30 per cent of the purchase price, which will be co-funded by Miller Homes and the Government.

Qualifying households with a combined income of less than £60,000 will then only need to find a mortgage to cover 70 per cent of the purchase price, but can still own 100 per cent of the property – with one of the big bonuses of the scheme being that the equity loan, on which there is no interest to pay for the first five years, is only repayable after 25 years, or when the customer sells their home, whichever comes first.
