Building commences at new development in Mansfield

Following an increase in sales activity during the first quarter of the year, local housebuilder, Rippon Homes, has started build work at its eagerly awaited Debdale Lane development in Mansfield.

The developer has owned the land since 2006 but with signs indicating a recovery in the housing market, bosses at the Mansfield-based company believe now is the right time to be starting work on its latest collection of new homes.

John Jones, Managing Director for Rippon Homes comments “I’m absolutely convinced this development will be a success- we have included a variety of new house designs which will appeal to a wide spectrum of the community, the site is close to all the local amenities but on the edge of the countryside.

Foundations are currently being laid at the yet to be named development and it is hoped the new homes will be ready to launch by the end of the summer.

The company has witnessed an increase in both visitor levels and sales during the first three months of the year, which comes as a welcome upturn after the challenging market conditions of 2008.

As well as Debdale Lane, the company is hoping to launch a further three developments in the Mansfield area including a development of 10 bungalows off Springwood Drive, Mansfield Woodhouse, a mixed development of 3 and 4 bedroom properties off Portland Street, Mansfield Woodhouse as well as the final phase of its popular Meadow Bank development on Baums Lane, Mansfield.
