Summer sun brings sizzling new home deals Discerning homebuyers wanting a fantastic summer deal on a new home should visit Miller’s Ashtree Park development in Ashfield this weekend. Miller Homes is hosting a HomeBuy Direct weekend dedicated to explaining the advantages and offering advice to homebuyers about the Government backed scheme, which aims to get people onto the property ladder.

As part of the Government’s £400 million HomeBuy Direct Scheme, Miller Homes has released just 15 plots at Ashtree Park under Homebuy Direct. Purchasers will have the opportunity to purchase 100 percent of their home by paying 70 percent of the value, with both Miller Homes and the Government equally funding the remaining 30 percent. The 30 percent equity loan will only become repayable after 25 years or when the customer sells their home, whichever comes first.

One of the big bonuses of the scheme is that the equity loan is only repayable after 25 years, and there is no interest payable for the first five years.

Jan Hanaby, area sales manager for Miller Homes Yorkshire said: “The scheme is designed to assist first time buyers, key workers and people re-entering the property market. It will help more people who have found it almost impossible to get a foot on to or climb up the property ladder, either due to the tightening of mortgage lending or because they have struggled to raise the deposits they need to secure a new home.”

One example of a home available under the scheme is the stylish three bedroom Wolsey townhouse priced from only £130,000. Although through Homebuy Direct the purchaser will only be required to find the funds for just 70 percent of this value, just £91,000.

The Wolsey, a three bedroom, three-storey townhouse boasts a large, spacious lounge, and an open plan kitchen dining area. The entire second floor is occupied by the spacious master bedroom, which includes an en-suite shower room, creating a relaxing personal space. There are also two other good sized bedrooms making this the perfect family property.

Jan continued: “We’ve already had a great amount of interest, so I would strongly urge anyone finding it difficult to afford a new property to come and chat to us, they can be advised on the day if they are eligible for the scheme.”

Ashtree Park is situated on Kirkby Folly Road, Ashfield in Nottinghamshire. If you would like to get your hands on a sizzling deal this weekend then why not visit the sales centre between 10.30am and 5.30pm. Alternatively, log on to Millerhomes.co.uk.
