Message alert sees family move

Message alert sees family move A text message alert on his mobile phone helped a new home buyer get the plot he wanted for his young family.

And now Saneth Wijayaratna (34), a director at TeleMedCare, a medical device business, and his family are now enjoying life at the Miller Homes East Midlands Dukes Mead development in Bingham.

“With a young family and busy lives, we wanted to move somewhere where we could just move into,” says Saneth, who is married to Claire, and has two children, Daniel (three) and Hannah (nine months).

“There was no comparison between Miller Homes and the other housebuilders we looked at so we knew we wanted a Miller home. The London, which has three storeys and five bedrooms, was ideal for our young family because of the space.

“We needed somewhere from where I could commute to Lincoln and my wife could get to work in Loughborough. We liked Bingham and so we were delighted when we heard that the plot was available.”

Dukes Mead, from the award-winning Miller Homes, which is this year celebrating 75 years of housebuilding, is within a few minutes walk of the centre of Bingham, a lively market town that traces its history back to the Domesday Book and beyond.

It has a range of properties available, with highlights including the three-bedroomed detached Shakespeare, which features a separate utility room next to the kitchen, and the four-bedroomed detached Buchan style property, with its attached single garage and downstairs study.

Joy Goodman, sales director at Miller Homes East Midlands, commented: “Dukes Mead has proved to be a highly popular site, particularly because of its proximity to Bingham and to commuter routes.

“We have found recently that the confidence is returning to the housing market, with a rise in reservations across a number of our developments.

“New homes haven’t been this affordable for years and it’s clear that many people understand that property is still one of the best long term investments that you can make.”

The sales centre is open Fridays to Wednesdays from 10.30am to 5.30pm and on Thursdays between 11.30am to 6.30pm. For details, visit millerhomes.co.uk/explore/eastmidlands.
