New grade A office scheme

26th December 2006 Print
Shepherd Developments and its development partner Durngate Property Group, advised by Savills, has acquired a 3.8 acre (1.5 hectare) site at Crossways Business Park, Dartford from Legal and General for £4.5 million.

Shepherds and Durngate will submit a planning application for approximately 80,000 sq ft (7,432 sq m) of business/office space, with construction anticipated to start in May 2007.

Jon Gardiner, associate director of Savills’ regional offices team, says: “This is a great site, the most prominent on Crossways and one of the best on the M25 in terms of immediate access to the motorway. We are looking forward to bringing a scheme to the market.

“It is abundantly clear that this part of the M25 and northern Kent has a dire shortage of high quality office buildings however, as an office location it has always performed very well, so we are confident of success on this scheme.”

Crossways Business Park currently comprises a mix of office and industrial space with occupiers including Laing O’Rourke, Regus, Yell, Mazda, Global Home Loans and Woolwich. The industrial occupiers include Vodafone, Boots and John Lewis.
