Persimmon continues to build upon success

31st January 2007 Print
Persimmon Homes will be continuing to strengthen its standing in the South West this year with the announcement of further expansion in the region.

Following an extremely successful 2006, the Exeter based company has announced 11 forthcoming developments are already in the pipeline for 2007, with the company actively seeking further land opportunities.

Alongside continuing to create new homes in popular residential areas such as Weston-super-Mare, Plymouth and Bridgwater, the developer will also be expanding its portfolio into new areas including Burnham on Sea, Paignton, Wellington, South Peverton and St Columb Major in Cornwall. Included within this are two landmark schemes, Stockmoor Village in Bridgwater, where the company has planning approval for 810 units and a yet to be approved 900 unit scheme in Monkton, Heathfield.

“These are extremely exciting times for the South West region as we continue to grow and strengthen the company throughout 2007,” commented Simon Perks, deputy managing director for Persimmon Homes South West. “The market here remains steady, particularly in Exeter, Bridgwater and Truro and early signs from the recent interest rate rise show it has failed to impact on recent sales.

“We are extremely excited to be bringing more new homes to more locations than ever before throughout 2007 and these latest developments form part of our ongoing commitment to the region as we continue to transform redundant sites into thriving and active communities.”
