The awards keep coming for Twigden Homes

In this year's prestigious Daily Telegraph 'What House' awards the quality of the homes built by Cambridgeshire-based Twigden Homes received major recognition.

The company scooped four national awards - including a bronze award for Best Medium-Sized housebuilder!

'The George' house design at Fairfield Park, Arlesey meanwhile, gained a silver award for Best House Type, whilst Twigden's apartments at Park Vale, Peterborough won a silver and bronze award respectively for Best Apartment and Best Starter Home.

Commenting on the 'The George' house type at 'Fairfield Park', the judges said: "The quality of houses designed and built by Twigden Homes over the years (which have won many awards in the past), has been matched by the high quality of this entry." The judges applauded the design and the attention to detail, which they described as: "so evident in the excellent workmanship" , saying: "the elevations are beautifully crafted and built using quality materials in a traditional manner."

The judges were also impressed with the design of the study and double garage, which they felt makes for very flexible accommodation but manages to have quite imposing elevations for an ancillary building. They concuded: "If customers want a home that reflects the quality of the past with modern features for the 21st century, then they will find it in spades with this home - a very worthy award winner."

Commenting on the reasons for giving Twigden the bronze award for 'Best Medium-Sized Housebuilder, the judges said: "Twigden is a very good example of a regional builder that sticks to what it knows and does it extremely well." They continued: "The company prides itself on quality of build, a claim that rings true in testimonials from customers and numerous awards judges."

Widely recognised as the oscars of the housebuilding industry, the awards attract entries from all over Britain.
