Time for Estate Agents to jump on board with HIPS
Estate Agents and other industry members across the country will be brushing up on their ‘HIPs knowledge’ and gaining advice from industry experts at two HIPs Conferences planned for April this year. The Association of Home Information Pack Providers (AHIPP) will be hosting two Spring Conferences (City of Manchester Stadium 16th April, Emirates Stadium, London 18th April), which will allow those in the industry to hear from the experts on topics such as ‘HIPs contribution to the bottom line’ and ‘HCRS and EPCs – the story so far’.
Mike Ockenden, Director General, AHIPP said: “Forward thinking agents and industry members dealing with the reality that HIPs will happen on the 1st June, will be able to gain up-to-date advice and information on how to make HIPs work for them and their customers.
“The conferences will offer something for all of the industry involved in the house buying and selling process, whether they are adding the final touches or still working on their HIPs strategy. We have lined up a number of expert speakers, who will be offering practical and tailored advice on how those involved can make HIPs a success.”
Every consumer placing their property on the market, on or after the 1st June this year, must provide prospective purchasers with a HIP. In most cases it is going to be the agent’s responsibility to ensure that this happens and AHIPP is expecting to be inundated with agents registering for the conferences, a good number of which have already secured their place.
