Double success for housebuilder

14th March 2007 Print
Redrow Homes is shaping up to launch two new developments in Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire – bringing over 350 new homes to the area.

The schemes in Bletchley and St Neots will build on Redrow’s reputation for providing quality homes for people on all stages of the property ladder.

The development at St Neots will house 256 homes, ranging from one and two- bedroom apartments to three, four and five-bedroom homes, in beautiful contemporary and traditional styles. Commuters as well as locals are expected to be attracted to the site, due to its great road and rail links and proximity to St Neots town centre.

In Bletchley, near Milton Keynes, Redrow will build 136 homes in a contemporary style. The one, two and three-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom town houses will be perfect for commuters, locals and those with an eye for investment.

Heather Jackson, area sales manager for Northampton based Redrow Homes (South Midlands) says: “We’re really pleased to be building in these new areas, which will extend our geographical spread as well as our product offering. Both Bletchley and St Neots are in the perfect location for busy commuters as well as those simply looking for a new home in their local area. We hope to launch the Bletchley development in June and St Neots in late summer.”

The thriving market town of St Neots boasts many shops, restaurants and entertainment venues, including a cinema. As Cambridgeshire’s largest town, St Neots enjoys close road links with the A1, M1 and M11. Nearby Bedford and Cambridge are only 25 minutes away and each has a variety of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. A train to London from St Neots station will take around an hour, while Luton Airport is 50 minutes away.

Meanwhile Bletchley is best known for housing the headquarters of Britain’s World War II code breaking organisation, which cracked the German Enigma code. Nearby is the Blue Lagoon Nature Reserve, which hosts a variety of flora and fauna.

Situated opposite Bletchley railway station, Redrow’s new development will be the perfect setting for a busy commuter. London is around 50 minutes away, while Milton Keynes is just over 10 minutes down the road. Bedford is 40 minutes away and Northampton just over half an hours drive, while Luton Airport is 35 minutes away.

Heather continues: “These two sites are key acquisitions for Redrow and are a sign of our commitment to growing our business in this part of the country. We are known for providing great houses all over the UK and we plan to keep up our great reputation with these latest schemes.”

Redrow Homes builds up to 5,000 new homes each year across the UK. The South Midlands branch currently has active sites in Desborough, Corby and Daventry, in Northants, Leighton Buzzard, in Bedfordshire and Long Itchington, Warwickshire.
