Persimmon Homes is buoyant in East Midlands

17th March 2007 Print
Persimmon Homes East Midlands is preparing to bolster its new homes offering across the region with the launch of seven prime residential developments during 2007.

The Peterborough-based developer is gearing up for the construction of around 680 new properties within Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire with several projects built on brownfield land. With a gross development value worth in excess of £130 million, it is anticipated the new sites will incorporate a diverse mix of properties from Persimmon’s extensive property portfolio.

Sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes East Midlands, Sue Hull comments: “Constructing at seven new sites during 2007 is a major achievement for us and this significant investment is further evidence of our confidence in East Midlands’ property market as a whole.

“We have found that demand for new build properties throughout the region remains strong and these new sites come as welcome additions to our already popular and extensive portfolio of quality new homes. With this in mind, we want to make sure that we strengthen our market share in these locations and this can only be achieved by continually investing in the right sites when they come available.”

These latest figures follow the announcement of record financial results for the year to 31 December 2006.

Sue concludes: “Persimmon has also made a number of significant strategic land acquisitions, representing a major investment in maintaining this excellent performance.”

Persimmon Homes East Midlands is currently building at a number of developments across the region with sites in Huntingdon, Peterborough, St Neots, Longstanton, Grantham, Ancaster, Cambridge, Cambourne, Navenby, Bourne, Waltington, Witham St. Hughes, Newark and West Lynn.
