Helen Fairclough, now Senior Land Manager, surveys more land for Miller Homes As part of its continued drive for investing in its employees, Miller Homes, has promoted Helen Fairclough to senior land manager. Helen, 27, has been with Miller Homes Yorkshire for five years. She joined the company on its prestigious Graduate Development Programme as a graduate land buyer.

Helen quickly fulfilled the requirements of the scheme and became one of the youngest people in the country to qualify as a Chartered Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Helen commented: “Miller has been a great support in helping me further my career since I left university. I am pleased that I have been able to acquire the relevant skills through both on the job training and hard work to progress another step up on the career ladder.”

Helen’s key responsibility within her new role will be to identify sites suitable for residential development across the Yorkshire region. Helen was responsible for the purchase of a large site in her home town of Wakefield which is now to be the new Fairfield Manor development on Aberford Road. The development offers a range of house types with many benefits to new home buyers such as great links to nearby motorways and good local amenities.

“I am really pleased at being promoted and looking forward to continuing my career with a forward thinking company such as Miller Homes,” continued Helen.
