Live and British Gas offer EPC solution

The Live Organisation has agreed a partnership with British Gas to supply the energy performance certificate element of the Live HIP proposition.

British Gas Services will have 500 engineers trained as Domestic Energy Assessors, who already have energy efficiency experience and well recognised expertise to create and produce the leading EPC solution available in the market today.

Tim Price, sales & marketing director at The Live organisation explains: ”We have been developing relationships with British Gas for several months because we knew we required a large number of DEAs in place and ready to start work before the June deadline. British Gas offers the expertise of the UK’s leading energy company and has a blue-chip reputation which boosts the marketability of our HIP proposition.”

The Live Organisation has always concentrated on providing solutions for estate agents which provide a revenue stream. By working with British Gas, Live clients will be able to add yet another benefit to their own HIP offering and so win more instructions.

Chris Weston, Managing Director of British Gas Services, said: said “We’re already the largest installer of energy saving measures under the government’s energy efficiency commitment programme and it’s a natural progression to extend this expertise to include EPCs.

“Our engineers carry out millions of jobs in homes across the country every year and our customers already benefit from their energy efficiency advice. Now home sellers and buyers alike will know they can trust our advice too.”

Tim Price adds: “Existing Live clients will be delighted to have such a household name involved in their HIP production. Certainly in terms of EPC provision we do not believe anyone else can offer such a robust and reputable service. Agencies who have yet to finalise their plans should see this as very real evidence that in the case of Live, a HIP provider has in place not just the basic requirements but the best resources available.”
