CALA takes top customer satisfaction rating
For the second year in succession, CALA Homes has received one of the top customer satisfaction scores for UK housebuilders. In a national survey of new home buyers no other general housebuilder scored more highly than CALA Homes.The award winning housebuilder, which operates in Scotland, Yorkshire, the Midlands and the South East of England, was awarded four stars (out of a possible five) for customer satisfaction with the quality of its homes and won four stars (out of five) for customers prepared to recommend the company’s homes to a friend.
Four stars is awarded for a satisfaction rating of more than 80%, five stars for a satisfaction rating of more than 90%.
The survey, undertaken by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) among home purchasers of 20 larger home builders, was based on responses from more than 25,000 purchasers of new homes completed between October 2005 and September 2006.
“Improving customer satisfaction is one of the main challenges facing the housebuilding industry today. It is an area of our business which we take extremely seriously and I am delighted with this independent endorsement of the standards which are reaching,” says Alan Downie group managing director of CALA Homes.
“We want our customers to buy from us time and again as they change homes throughout their lives, so all aspects of customer service, especially after sales service, are extremely important to us.
“We already undertake our own customer satisfaction survey and these findings are in line with what we already know. However, they also tell us that we can do even better and they will act as a spur to continuously improve our service standards across all areas of the company,” continues Mr Downie, who is based in CALA Homes’ headquarters in Edinburgh.
This top award for a general housebuilder in each category of customer satisfaction and recommendation follows the Silver Award for Best Medium Size House Builder and the Gold Award for Best Brownfield Development which CALA Homes won at the What House Awards in November 2006.
“The results of this customer satisfaction survey following the Best Medium House Builder and Brownfield Development awards will play a role in pointing even more potential new home owners to our developments across Scotland and England. Once again it emphasises the strength and quality of the CALA brand for home owners, as well as for land vendors and agents,” says Mr Downie.
