NHBC response to Planning White Paper

Responding to the Planning White Paper's proposals to improve the provision of infrastructure, Imtiaz Farookhi, NHBC Chief Executive, said: "The complexities of the planning system have led to delays and refused applications. This results in costly public reviews and enquiries that slow down the approval process and hold up the supply of housing.

"NHBC supports any move which looks to make improvements in the planning process. Reforms are needed to simplify the system and speed up the application processes.

"NHBC will continue to work with the Government to implement lasting solutions to help improve the planning system in the country."
