A choice of three purchase packages has been introduced by the housebuilder as the sure-fire formula to buying a new home. Buyers can take advantage of a 3% mortgage subsidy, 5% deposit paid or home-exchange, plus a host of extras such as legal fees paid, stamp duty paid and free-fitted carpets. The trio of deals mean that a range of buyers are now able to unravel the puzzle of housebuying with ease.

Chris Ashmore, Sales Director for Barratt Mercia comments, “As the country’s best known housebuilder we are committed to providing high quality new homes for all kinds of buyers however, our work doesn’t end there.

“In today’s market, where higher interest rates have made mortgage affordability the toughest since 1992, it’s more important than ever to be able to help facilitate a house-move by understanding the hurdles buyers have to overcome before that new home is possible. We pride ourselves on having the ability and the know-how to provide effective solutions that really make a difference.”

The Solutions package is currently being offered at all Barratt Mercia’s new homes developments in the Midlands from Oxfordshire to Staffordshire, where a range of one- and two-bedroom apartments, and three- and four-bedroom houses are available to purchase. The apartments in particular are ideal for first-time buyers and with the 5% deposit paid offer, the route to home ownership could be within reach. Alternatively, the mortgage subsidy could help new buyers as well as move-up buyers cope with the financial strain of their repayments.

The larger houses are ideal for gowning families providing modern, flexible living and with the home-exchange scheme buyers with an existing property to sell could find they have sold up and moved in within a matter of weeks! Barratt acts as a cash buyer offering to pay the full market value of the existing home, so buyers can move into their new property swiftly with no chain to worry about and no estate agent’s fees to pay.
