Skipton gives sellers HIPs help

26th July 2007 Print
With four working days to go until the 1 August deadline, sellers of four or more bedroomed properties requiring a Home Info Pack (HIP) are being offered a helping hand by Skipton Building Society.

The mutual’s new HIP service costs just £349 and is available through the society’s 79 branches across the UK or via its website. Additional good news for sellers is that anyone subsequently taking out a mortgage on their new property with the Society will get the pack for free.

Steve Aldous, general manager of sales & marketing, at Skipton Building, commented, “Gordon Brown has been in office for 29 days and despite what the pundits have predicted, at this point HIPs are still firmly on the agenda. Whilst many of those planning to offer the packs have since changed their mind we feel it’s important that sellers are not left in the lurch. Therefore, we’re here to help with the house buying process, offering one of the most competitively priced services on the high street.”
