Miller harvests wicked pumpkin recipes

Miller Homes launched the competition with the help of East Midlands based French chef, Laurent Gerbet - head chef at the Blue Bell in Hoby, who once served as the personal chef of the Admiral of the French Navy. Laurent will be judging the entries to find the most delicious and inventive pumpkin recipe submitted - and to present the set of saucepans to the winner!
“The pumpkin is a very versatile ingredient which makes great soups, pies and pasta sauces,” comments Laurent.
“Unfortunately, it is used less and less these days as it is traditionally seen as a Halloween treat for children to decorate, not eat!”
Miller Homes East Midlands’ sales director Joy Goodman added: “With a rising trend in home cooking at present, Miller wants to encourage people to experiment in the kitchen and invent their own dishes - making more of their kitchens.
“We are renowned for our particularly high specification kitchens in the industry and we thought that it was time that we did more to encourage people to use them - whatever type of home they own.”
To enter this competition, all people have to do is get their best, most scrumptious pumpkin recipes down on paper with their name and preferred contact details and drop them into their nearest Miller Homes Sales Information Centre by November 16 2007.
To find the nearest Miller Homes development, budding pumpkin cooks should visit Miller Homes’ website Millerhomes.co.uk and use the site’s ‘home search’ facility. The competition only applies to Miller Homes developments within Miller Homes’ East Midlands region (i.e. those specified as East Midlands developments on Millerhomes.co.uk).
