Legal & General survey to establish UK’s ‘Home Sweet Home’
The online survey, ‘Home Sweet Home’ asks people for their views on their current home, their aspirations for their property in the future and what would be their dream home.Legal & General’s annual ‘Home Sweet Home’ survey is online at legalandgeneral.com and is running until 30 November 2007. And this year those completing the survey may choose to be entered into a draw to win £500 of John Lewis vouchers, which may help towards current home improvement.
The annual survey aims to establish trends in what type of property we would love to own, what areas of the country are the most sought after and the key factors used in deciding the home we do buy.
Garry Skelton, Marketing Director for Legal & General’s general insurance business said: “Last year’s survey found that Surrey topped the list as the favourite county in the UK for our dream home. But interestingly, one in five of us, 20%, did not expect to ever live in our dream home yet nearly the same number,19% actually hoped to own their dream home before their mid-forties.
The feedback from the survey is extremely useful in giving us a better understanding and insight into our customer’s household insurance needs for the future. For example, 18% of people mentioned that they would like a self-build home in last year’s survey so it will be interesting to see whether eco friendly homes feature this year. Being attuned to our customers changing needs means we can offer house insurance cover that matches the requirements of their dream homes.”
