Property TV News channel from the Professionals!

10th December 2007 Print
With so much – often conflicting – information available about property prices and the housing market it can be difficult for consumers to know who to turn to for impartial advice.

However, the UK's leading bodies representing estate and letting agents, the NAEA and ARLA (National Association of Estate Agents and Association of Residential Letting Agents), have launched what they believe to be the answer: their own online property news TV station.

Property Professionals TV (PPTV) broadcasts via the web 24 hours a day in virtually HD format from the Associations’ website nfopp.co.uk. It delivers information and news updates on all things property related for housing market hungry consumers and property professionals alike.

Peter Bolton King, the Associations’ Chief Executive, commented. "It is crucial that today's property market consumer receives clear, professional advice from an unbiased source. Our members have been providing that service to their customers for years, but new technology has enabled us to offer even higher standards for people using one of our members.

“As an association, we have been using PPTV for some months now as a means of updating our members with key information, property news, advice and training. It has been well received and more recently even imitated by commercial organisations. Whilst principally aimed at improving communication with our members, we have also seen a tremendous opportunity for other uses and are now actively investigating trialling a new channel specifically for consumers, which can be delivered from selected members own websites.

“A welcome bonus is that in using this new technology we have even been able to reduce our carbon footprint when communicating with members by cutting back on travelling, printing and postage. At least one of our member agents has already directly commissioned their own TV channel from 'Powershift.tv' the company behind PPTV and we are looking very closely at just how we can add even greater value to our members and their customers."

Peter is tight lipped about just how this new service will be developed but one thing is certain, property news information just rocketed forward into the 21st century, courtesy of the NAEA and ARLA!
