Cae Rebeca off with a bang
Redrow’s new development in Pontardulais has clearly impressed discerning homebuyers, netting three sales within hours of its launch. The award-winning housebuilder’s Cae Rebeca venture of 93 new homes has been given a historical name as a reminder of rioters who helped bring an end to political, social and economic injustice in the 19th century.
Rachael Davies, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Wales), said:
“We’re delighted with the success of the launch. We use them as a chance to introduce our homes to potential buyers and entice interest and this time we got three reservations on the day, which was fantastic.
“Cae Rebeca is a beautiful new collection of homes. It features an excellent choice of our quality-built homes, close to all of the local amenities of Pontardulais and also within easy reach of Swansea and Llanelli. There’s also good access to the M4 for travel to Cardiff.”
The entrance to award winning Redrow’s scheme on Bolgoed Road lies about a hundred yards from a commemorative monument opposite the Fountain Inn, dedicated to a group known as ‘Rebeca’ who destroyed the controversial Bolgoed toll-gate in 1843.
The toll-gates are long gone and Pontardulais is now a welcoming place for home owners. Local amenities are plentiful, including schools, shops and banks; it’s just eight miles from Swansea and within a short drive of the beautiful scenery of the Gower coastline.
For those with children, Pontarddulais offers a good choice of schools, both English and Welsh speaking. The area has a range of healthcare facilities too, with doctors, dentists and both Morriston and Gorseinon Hospitals a short car journey from Cae Rebeca.
Prices range from £119,995 for a one bedroom mid terrace home, to £299,995 for a five bedroom, detached home.
