Showhome opens at The Link, Clydebank

14th March 2008 Print
Showhome opens at The Link, Clydebank Strathclyde Homes has opened a show apartment at The Link, Clydebank, a development that is proving very popular with over 30 homes already sold. The new, modern apartments compare favourably on price, specification and conservation of energy, with the older ‘tenement’ style apartments found around greater Glasgow.

Of course, tenement buildings are part of the culture and history of the area, but are proving to be just as expensive to buy, and more costly to maintain, than modern apartments that come with all ‘bell and whistles’.

And, Strathclyde Homes is making it easier to move to a new home - the success of its ‘move-in’ package has prompted Strathclyde Homes to extend the scheme for the next sales period. £99 is all homebuyers need to reserve an apartment with nothing else to pay until the day of completion.

The low reservation fee and is aimed at helping those homebuyers, particularly first time buyers, to cover the cost of solicitors, carpets, curtains and general moving expenses.

But that is not all, homebuyers will receive £4000 cash back to help with those ‘new home essentials’ and with prices starting from only £129,000 for a two-bedroom apartment it is easy to see why The Link has proved popular with homebuyers.

James Lang, Regional Director with Scotland’s largest property agents Slater, Hogg and Howison says: “The Link is a superbly located development, well placed for those employed in the area, especially The Royal Jubilee Hospital and local business parks.

“Commuting couldn’t be easier to the West End universities and hospitals by road, bus and rail. The Erskine Bridge and Renfrew Ferry link give superb access to the South side of the city. The apartments are undoubtedly suitable to all ages from professional singles, young couples, and down-sizers alike.

“They are very attractively priced in consideration to neighbouring West End and Bearsden/Milngavie and we have already had purchasers buying who have been out priced in these market places.

“There is a flourishing rental market in the area with demand from professionals working in the neighbouring hospital and nearby shipyards who are living out of town at weekends. There is a lack of quality rental stock in the area and these well finished flats by Strathclyde Homes would make a fine investment in anyone’s portfolio.”

The two-bedroom apartments come with an ensuite to the master bedroom and features high quality fitted kitchens, stainless steel integral electric oven, gas hob and chimney hood with extractor fan, and integrated washer/dryer.

Once completed, The Link will comprises two-bedroom apartments, three-bedroom villas and four-bedroom townhouses and is ideally located to take advantage of the superb transportation links to Glasgow city where the choice of bars, restaurants, parks, museums and shopping is truly unrivalled.

Residents’ parking is provided, although with excellent public transport links surrounding the development offering fast and efficient options for travel, it means the car can stay at home.

The showhome is open seven days from 10.30am to 5.30pm. For further information visit Strathclydehomes.com.
