David Wilson Homes launches DIY amnesty

But it seems David Wilson Homes East Midlands could have the answer to all those DIY disputes as it launches its very own ‘DIY amnesty'.
Sales director for David Wilson Homes East Midlands, Philip Lacey, explains: "We all have such busy lives nowadays and after a hard day at work the last thing most of us want to do is pick up a paintbrush or start stripping the walls. The beauty of a new home is there simply is no need to worry about the previous-owners dodgy décor or the unsightly bathroom that needs ripping out, meaning that with a new home you really can relax at the end of a long day."
So to celebrate all that is good about new homes, and after all let's face it you won't need them, David Wilson Homes is simply asking purchasers to bring in an old paintbrush in return for a perfectly planted garden or stylish interior design package each worth £20,000.
Purchasers reserving between a David Wilson home between Thursday 1 May and Monday 26 May, on properties for completion before Monday 30 June, will automatically qualify - just don't forget your paintbrush.
Philip adds: "Purchasers can choose to either work with a professional designer to personally tailor their interior and furnishings from colour schemes to feature walls, fixtures and fittings, or to create their ideal outdoor haven with a landscape architect each worth £20,000."
"Your garden will be designed in a versatile way to make it ideal for use by all the family, whether it be relaxing in the sun or having friends over for a barbeque, and will include everything from shrubs, ornamental trees and seasonal bedding plants, to turf and decking.
"The choice really is yours as to whether you want your home to be the envy of all your friends or you'd rather your garden be the place to be this summer."
