Housebuilder awarded for health and safety training Persimmon Homes South Coast has won Construction Health and Safety Group's award in the House Building category for the second year running. The award recognises the housebuilder's commitment to pursuing the highest safety standards.

In 2007 Persimmon Homes South Coast put a high number of its staff through rigorous Health and Safety training, resulting in a very high pass rate, evidence to its commitment to making the industry a safe place to work in.

"Staff training is the best way to ensure that people who work at Persimmon understand the risks and make it their priority to keep themselves and their colleagues out of danger.

"Our commitment to safety extends to the entire organisation and we also run health and safety campaigns aimed at the general public in an effort to educate both children and grown-ups on accident prevention", he adds.

Persimmon Homes South Coast has developments in Amesbury, Blandford Forum, Basingstoke, Bognor Regis, Collingbourne Ducis, Lee on the Solent, Portsmouth, Petworth, Salisbury, Shaftesbury, Whiteley and Verwood.
