The International Green Apple Awards for the Built Environment and Architectural Heritage were launched in 2000 and recognise and reward those who have made a positive contribution to the built environment or helped to preserve architectural heritage.

Berkeley Homes received a gold award for The Granary & Bakery development at Royal Clarence Yard, Gosport, silver awards for West 3 in Acton and Royal Arsenal in Woolwich, and a bronze award for The Vulcan Building at Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth.

The judges were extremely impressed with Berkeley Homes' handling of the design and development process resulting in state-of-the-art residential developments that comply with the latest government planning guidance.
