Savills valuer sails home Having joined the Durban 2010 Clipper Round the World in Jamaica, Charlotte Neal, an Associate in Savills Residential Valuation and Litigation Support department, has recently sailed some stormy waters up to Sydney, Nova Scotia, and will soon be setting a course for home. To date, the rough sea conditions have already seen a man overboard, 2 boats dismasted and numerous other injuries!

The final leg of the race will take her across the Atlantic to Cork and then to the finish at her home town of finish in her home town of Liverpool. The race with different sailors participating in the various legs of the course started in September 2007 and will end at Liverpool tomorrow 5th July. By the end of the race, Charlotte will have covered approximately 7,000 miles.

Charlotte’s colleagues at Savills have received regular emails from her on the Durban 2010 boat detailing the challenges and discomforts of on board life. These include such perils as bouts of seasickness, icebergs in the North Atlantic, and listening to the winner of Canadian Pop Island at a yacht club in Cape Breton.

Charlotte has so far raised £2,560 for Cancer Research UK. Anyone wanting to support her efforts can do so through the webpage: justgiving.com/charlotteneal.
