Think positively, says Redrow

It would be easy to think that a move to a brand new home just isn't possible in the current climate. Not so, says Redrow, who are urging positive action with their ‘Yes, you can move' campaign.

Times may be more challenging but with a range of help, advice and incentives available under the badge of ‘re:assure', Redrow believes that those who do make the move now can find some really excellent value in the market.

Neil Fitzsimmons, chief executive of Redrow, says: "It's a time of opportunity for homebuyers to take advantage of some attractive deals that are currently available and secure themselves a brand new home that will also save them money on their heating and fuel bills.

"Our ability to help with a deposit, stamp duty and other moving costs, to maybe take a customer's existing property in part-exchange or allowing them to defer up to 25% of the initial purchase price for up to 10 years on selected plots, gives new homes the edge over the second hand market in the current market. "Also at a time of rising energy prices new homes have been shown to save people up to £556 per annum on their fuel costs*, and that was before the latest large increase in gas and electricity costs. Those savings will go a long way to help increase the amount of money people can have in their pockets or help pay the mortgage."

Mortgage availability is under pressure but Redrow is also working closely with its established network of financial advisors, solicitors and other property professionals to help customers find a deal that suits them.
