Barratt team cycles five countries in three days A team of four from Barratt Southampton recently cycled 570 miles across five countries in just three days to help raise funds for Epilepsy Action and Cancer Research UK.

The relay covered the grounds of northern France, Belgium, Luxembourg, before heading further east to Germany and then south to Switzerland. The stunning sights of the Vosges, Jura and Swiss Alps mountain ranges were witnessed before finishing on the shores of the stunning Lake Geneva.

Barratt's team of Ian Sneddon, Joe Lyndsey, Mike Sneddon and Phil Rosewarne has raised an impressive £3000 for Epilepsy Action and Cancer Research UK, which it hopes will assist in raising awareness of the condition and those who suffer from it. Local plumbing and heating firm K.A Watts sponsored the team and provided kit for the challenge.

"The cycle was a great success with the whole team completing the challenge - we are thrilled to have raised the money for two important charities - the fatigue is definitely worth it!" said commercial director, Ian Sneddon.

Barratt managing director Ian Wallace said: "The whole office was behind the team and we are very proud of them. It's an excellent achievement and Epilepsy Action is a very worthwhile cause."
