Time runs out for big discounts in the West Country

Barratt Exeter has sold over 50 homes in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall since September during a period when pundits were writing obituaries for the housing market.
But now visitor levels are higher than last year - with over 450 people visiting Barratt sites in the region in the last three months. It means that the big discounts which buyers can now take advantage of will soon become a thing of the past.
"People who want a new home have worked out that there will never be a better time to buy," said Caroline Hill, sales director at Barratt Exeter.
"More and more people are cottoning on to this and the number of potential customers visiting our sites is actually higher than it was 12 months ago. We've had over 450 visitors in the last three months alone."
"While bargain hunters seem to be out in force, supply is going down. We sold over 50 homes during the autumn selling season and now only have 10 left in the area."
"Time is running out on the once in a generation deals which we've been offering homebuyers in the last few weeks. We just won't have the level of stock left to sell."
Homes are currently available throughout the region, for further information see Barratthomes.co.uk.
