New Redrow trio ready for challenges ahead

With realistic expectations for the coming year, Stuart, 46, is determined that Redrow's status as a quality Welsh housebuilder will place them ahead of the competition in a challenging market.
He said: "We have a solid reputation in South Wales for building top quality homes in great locations. I believe the key to coming through the current economic climate with a strong business is building awareness of our brand and pushing for even better quality build and customer service from every member of our team.
"It is vital that in a time when other housebuilders may be looking to cut costs from their product, we are putting the needs of our discerning homebuyers first. This has resulted in a total rethink of how we plan our living spaces coupled with exciting new specifications, which we believe will enhance our reputation as a quality brand.
Our new range is currently ‘under wraps', but will be appearing across the region in the early Spring, our customers will just have to wait and see.
"We are also looking at ways of working more closely with the Welsh Assembly to assist with their policy making linked to housing growth and sustainability, to ensure the South Wales housing market enjoys a fruitful future."
Stuart has been in the house building industry for around 20 years, initially as an engineer before developing an interest in land acquisition and rising through the ranks with a number of volume builders to become a land director and then managing director. He previously worked for Redrow in the south of England. Originally from Hartlepool in the north east, he is now based in Newport, Gwent.
New sales director Debby Pavitt has risen rapidly through Redrow's ranks. She originally joined the company as a sales consultant in June 2004 and was made a field sales manager just a year later. Six months on her hard work was rewarded with another step up the career ladder to sales manager.
Debby moved across the Severn Bridge to take on the role of sales director for Redrow Homes (South West) in Bristol before recently returning to her native South Wales in the same capacity.
The 47-year-old, who lives in the village of Caerleon, near Newport, said: "I sold new homes for 12 years before joining Redrow and the company's ethos of building new homes of the highest quality and providing first-class customer service is close to my heart. It's something I will strive to maintain and improve even further."
With more than 12 years with Redrow, Andy Diss's hard work and dedication has seen him rewarded with a promotion to commercial director in South Wales. Originally from London, the 39-year-old joined the company's Southern region in 1996 as a surveyor, before being promoted to the role of commercial manager.
Before that he worked for the Kier Group after graduating from The University of Greenwich with a degree in quantity surveying.
Andy, whose hobbies include flying light aircraft, said: "Redrow has always been up there with the best housebuilders in the country and the new specification we are bringing on board will put us at the top of that list for quality."
Locally, Redrow has properties for sale at developments from Swansea across to Newport and Abergavenny, including homes for first time buyers, waterfront apartments, family housing and large executive detached homes.
