Buyers ‘home’ in on traditional properties

25th February 2009 Print
Buyers ‘home’ in on traditional properties “There are some very good buys in the house market at the moment”, says Dean Markall, Sales and Marketing Director at Hillreed Homes, “and we have seen a great increase in the number of sales in January and February compared to the latter few weeks of 2008”. In fact, net sales for Hillreed Homes rose by 160% in January 2009 compared to January 2008.

Hillreed Homes is a privately owned company established over 30 years ago and was in fact started in a recession so this is the 3rd major recession that the company has continued to successfully trade.

Continued Dean, “The answer to the company’s success is that we always look to three main criteria - good locations, good product, good prices.

“We do not build horrendously big developments nor do we lose sight of what the buying public want. Lots of glass and metal are not necessarily what people are seeking. It is bricks and mortar, stylish exteriors that blend with the local area and homes that offer clever layouts for modern day lifestyles are what people are looking for”.

The company also knows that sometimes it is not just the cost of the property that is stopping a purchaser proceeding, sometimes it is a combination of circumstances and it is this that Hillreed Homes have been able to address from an early stage of the recession.

Whilst they obviously have reduced house prices in line with the market place they also have a wide range of facilities to help buyers including Helping Hand Scheme, Mortgage Subsidy Scheme, Stamp Duty Paid, Deposit Scheme and Legal Fees and Moving Costs addressed. The company also offer practical help under their Lets Get Moving Scheme where they assist owners in selling their current property. There is also the recently launched information pack on the Bank of Mum and Dad.

Concluded Dean, “The property market is now definitely moving; we have proof with our net sales figures. At the moment the banks are providing very little interest on deposits so property once again, is proving the right place to invest.

Those in a position to purchase for themselves or for investment are doing so whilst this exceptional window of opportunity remains. Those needing to move and wanting the benefits of an easy to run brand new home but are having difficulty in raising capital or selling their current home are coming to us to take up some of the many benefits on offer”.

Hillreed Homes has a wide range of homes throughout the South East. Their brand new web site is easy to read and clearly shows what benefits are available at which sites. Prices are shown together with any recent reductions.

There are location maps and site layouts plus a range of photos and images of the many different properties currently being marketed.

The old saying “there has never been a better time to buy” really does apply now in the early Spring of a year where the Government’s ‘green shoots’ are expected to flourish.
