Miller man heads up safety group

The North West Homebuilders Safety Group was one of the first of its kind in the UK and was established in 2007. Its objective is to share best practices between house builders in the region to improve health and safety on building sites.
The working group, now with a 20 strong membership from Health and Safety Managers representing the UK’s leading housebuilders, was set up under the guidance of the Health and Safety Executive [HSE]. They identified the northwest as one of the most active regions in the UK for house building and how it would serve the good standing of the industry to get the key parties to meet on a regular basis, share experiences, further their knowledge and understanding.
The success of the North West Homebuilders Safety Group has meant that further Homebuilders Safety Groups are now being established. The concept is expected to be rolled out to even more regions in the near future.
