Veg out with Terry Walton and Barratt

Terry Walton, gardening guru, allotmenteer, author and a regular on BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine show, will be appearing at various Barratt developments throughout South Wales in July, offering handy tips on how to grow your own vegetables.

Terry, who grew up in Lllwynypia, close to Tonypandy, has been working on the same allotment in the Rhondda Valley for more than 50 years. Self-sufficient in vegetables for over ten months of the year, Terry practices organic methods and can offer advice on a wide variety of gardening issues, from encouraging frogs into the garden to the best way to sow seeds.

All visitors who join Terry at Barratt’s participating developments will be able to view the housebuilders’ showhomes and learn about the different incentives and ways to buy a Barratt home. Anyone who reserves a new home on the day will receive a starter pack to grow their own vegetables worth £50, a signed book by Terry and they could win a £3000 landscaped garden in Barratt’s prize draw.
